This page is dedicated to the various projects completed in my Contemporary Letterpress class, combining typesetting and letterpress with contemporary procedures.
Laser-cut Concert Poster - Cat Clyde
The goal of this project was to laser-cut shapes to be used in the creation of a fictional concert poster, in the vain of the works of Brad Vetter. I also included a pressure print in this piece. Seen in the background. This piece primarily centers around the setting of type on top of the shapes cut for the poster.

Dropcap 3D prints, A & R
As part of a class series of drop caps, the goal was to 3D print a type-high drop cap capable of printing clearly when set alongside type. Assigned the letters A and R, I created two rose themed drop caps with either letterform, and set the A dropcap alongside a verse from the song 'Roses' by OutKast.

'Make Cool Shit' Shirt Run
Deciding to push the limits of letterpress, my goal was to find a way to letterpress a run of T-Shirts. Using laser-cut letters and ornaments from around the shop. The shirts were printed on a proof-press using oil based ink. The end result was a complete shirt, with designs on both the front and back.
