Kuniko's
Menu Refresh
The goal of this refresh was to provide local Grand Junction restaurant Kuniko's Teriyaki with a refreshed menu. Taking all the content from the original menu, and giving the visuals new life.
The original Kuniko's menu lacks about everything. Pixelated and inconsistent imagery, arbitrary type choices, and confusing layouts/placements.
With alot of room for improvement, there was alot of freedom regarding the direction for the new menu.
The new menu makes use of retro diner aesthetics to familiarize the Teriyaki restaurant to a new audience. This aesthetic is reflected on the menu from the top down, from the shapes, lines, and grids of the menu, to the typography and imagery that guide guests through the menu.
